Errors do occur and most of the time these can be ignored as they are "hiccups" in the running of the service and Google just likes to report everything to you.
In most cases these errors can be ignored and you can set up filters to suppress these notifications if they are annoying. (Even if you suppress them using a filter rule we can still see them here so don’t worry, we are investigating them if they are a problem).
Here are some of the most common errors, what they mean and if you need to take action on them:
-----------------
What it looks like:
Error Unexpected error: https://api.workflowmax.com/job.api/tasks?apiKey=123123123123123123123123&accountKey=123123123123123123123123123123&complete=false
Indicates that the Workflow Max API server failed to respond in the appropriate amount of time or returned an error, this would usually indicate the load on the API servers was too much at that time and on next sync the error doesn't occur.
No but If this happens consistently then please contact our support.
--------------------------------------------------
What it looks like:
Cannot call method "getStartTime" of null
This error indicates that during the run of this Job, the script could not obtain a value that it requires from Google Calendar, this is a server error on Googles side and on the next run this error doesn't occur so isn't an issue although we are investigating smarter ways to sync the data so that these errors are reduced.
No
--------------------------------------------------
What does it look like:
Error : Address unavailable: https://www.googleapis.com/calendar/v3/calendars/[domain].<?>
Means the script was unable to resolve the Google calendar API address for the domain specified, this doesn't occur on next sync and will continue as normal.
No
--------------------------------------------------
Occurs when trying to open up the 2. Connect Google Calendars option in the Workflow Max Setup menu.
Error Cannot call method "getText" of null. at Workflow Max API:89 (getStaff) at Code:87 (connectCalMenu)DetailsDismiss
You have clicked the setup calendar option to quickly after entering the WFM API and Account keys. Give it about 20 seconds then try again.
No, just wait about 10 seconds and try the option again.
--------------------------------------------------
What it looks like:
An essential field that is referenced by the script doesn't have any values.
Check the following in Workflow Max:
- staff are assigned to Calendars correctly
- start and due dates are set in WFM Jobs and Tasks
--------------------------------------------------
We're sorry, a server error occurred. Please wait a bit and try again.
Indicates an error on Googles server side
This can't be helped except slowing down the amount of data the script syncs and any given moment which will cause the whole process to be slower and may induce the "Total trigger time exceeded in one day" error.
On the next sync this error doesn't occur.
--------------------------------------------------
You have been creating or deleting too many calendars or calendar events in a short time. Please try again later.
Indicates that the Google servers were not able to keep up with the amount of requests being sent to change you calendar, so it cancels the sync for this instance.
Nope. This doesn't occur on the next sync and the only way to resolve this is to slow down the synchronisation which is a undesirable outcome.
