See our Workflow Max integration for another example of light weight automation tools that we have developed.  Workflow Max is a project management SaaS product but it didn't present very well in calendars, and the integration they provided was only an overlay inside your connected online calendar.  This meant that editing a job on-site the users had to get online and use the Workflow Max console which on a mobile had limited functionality.  We created a near real-time syncing integration that overlays Workflow Max jobs (tasks coming soon) into Google Calendar just like their integration BUT allows users to edit, reschedule and add notes to Workflow Max jobs using a familiar interface like Google Calendar or connect it to your favourite mobile calendar app, it all works!
